INTRODUCING THE WORLD’S FIRST HIJAB-FRIENDLY BEAUTY PAGEANT

MISS AND MISTER GRAND SEA ASIA 2019

Kuala Lumpur, 7 December 2018 – Malaysia will be the proud host for the first ever Miss and
Mister Grand Sea Asia 2019, the Asian chapter of the World Title. With over 30 Asian countries
taking part in this beauty pageant, the organisers – D’La Valentina and No.5 Asia Production
House, wish to showcase a beauty pageant which is more than a beauty pageant.
Miss and Mister Grand Sea Asia 2019 beauty pageant is not only set to make waves in the Asian
region, but also aspires to put Malaysia on the world map. The beauty contest serves as a platform
to promote the local tourism industry – culture, food and destinations – to participants hailing from
other countries.

Introducing a new concept to the Pageantry world, this competition aims to show that beauty is
not just skin beauty. Participants who wears hijab and do not wish to show skin to portray their
beauty status, can prove their beauty in this competition. Moreover, participants will contend with
the contest’s trials and tribulation through an online platform making this an amazing Beauty
Pageant reality show.

“It is not a night to crown someone who is the most beautiful.” said Ms Valentina Mishra, CEO of
D’La Valentina, of the pageant. “But a chance for all the participants to see themselves as beautiful.
The goal is to build confidence, and the confidence comes as they walk across the stage. The
contest is not a facial beauty, skin complexion or weight based contest.”

and Spa, Petaling Jaya on 16 February2019. The event will be divided into two categories: Teen
